Scalloped Shaped Birthday Card

One of the challenges this week at RAQs Challenge on the Cricut message board was to make a circle or shaped card.   I made this card using the Paper Lace cartridge.

I first sized the scalloped "just because" cut on page 55 of the handbook, then I hide contour all the lines that cut out the words in Design Studio.  I wanted just the design around the edge.  Then I took the plain scalloped shadow, copied, pasted flipped the second one and welded them together in Design Studio.  I also placed a small rectangle, very small from Plantin Schoolbook and welded it in the center so there would be a a place to fold it.    I then cut another shadow scallop out of the brown and place a circle in the center, so when it cut I had that circle to use on the front of the card.  I hope this makes sense, I guess I could have cut the circle from the center of the pink so the brown showed through but I wanted the circle separate so I could pop dot it.  The card measure about 5 inches.  The papers are from DCWV Linen & Lace stack and there is a pattern on them but it is hard to see.  The happy birthday was also cut from the Paper Lace cartridge.  Here is a closer side view.
The flower is a crumpled flower I had in my stash.  I love making these and try to make several when I do so I have them handy. :).   I added brown pearls around the pattern on the front and tied a bow at the edge.  I also cut another base card out of pink to line the inside with.
I made this card to give to my grandson's girlfriend for her birthday.
