Over the hill...............

Hello, I have a humorous birthday card to share with you today.
My brother-in-law is a very funny guy and him and I are are always joking with each other so I could not resist making him this card.
I cut the "hill" and sun using the Cricut cartridge Country Life and then mounted it on a card that I had covered with cloud paper.  I stamped a hot air balloon lightly to look like it was off in the distance.
The old fashion bicycle I cut using my Silhouette Cameo as I find that is cuts finer lines much much better than the Cricut does.
Here is a closer look at the bike, which I pop dotted.
For this to all make sense you have to see the inside.
This is the Just a Number stamp set from CTMH, it has some really cute stamps for birthday cards.

Well my BILs birthday was early this month and he got a nice chuckle out of his card.  Thanks for stopping by to take a peak.

You make me Smile.....

Hello all, I have a bright fun card to share with you today I love how this came out and I actually think I am getting a bit better ( an little bit) at coloring with my Copics.

Back in October Barbara at Forgotten Scraps had posted this cute image that her 9 year old daughter (along with her help) drew this adorable butterfly as a fund raiser for the Monarch Butterfly Fund.  You can read all about it HERE and purchase it if you would like.  While you are there spend a little time looking around Barbara's blog Forgotten Scraps she is amazing at coloring with Copics, she makes things come to life.
So are you ready to see how I colored Hola Butterfly?
The papers I used are from my Websters Pages warehouse box I got last month.  A couple times a year (I think) they offer a warehouse box packed full of goodies, like paper, ribbon, flowers, stickers etc etc.  This was the first time I ever got the box but it was so exciting ti dig through it and see what inside.
I wanted to color him to match the papers so he is a bit off the mark as far as a true Monarch Butterfly, but I love him in the bright colors.
Here is a close up, I added some Sakura Glitter pen to the trim on his hat but you can't see it too well in the photo.
The 3 flowers along the edge are actually buttons.  I created this card following a sketch this week from the Cricut message board RAQs Sketch Challenge and the extra credit there was to use buttons.  If you like to make cards following a sketch come on over and join us, it is a fun group of ladies.
The sentiment label I cut using Cricut Craft Rooms basics and then stamped it with a CTMH stamp.

Well thanks for stopping by my blog, I would love to hear what you have to say about my butterfly and I hope to keep up with posting on my blog more often.

It has been way too long..............

Oh my, it has been forever since I posted on my blog, I am so sorry to my followers or anyone else that stops by.  This Christmas season was especially busy for me this year.  I have two grandsons in the Navy and they both got to come home for Christmas, it was a wonderful time.  With both of them Sonar Techs on submarines, we do not know when that will happen again so we savored every moment we could.  Also one of them is going out for deployment so his wife and 2 year old daughter moved back here to Tucson, AZ to be near family while he is gone for 9 months instead of being clear across the country in New Hampshire all by herself.
Since I have not posted in so long, I will share with you some Christmas cards that I had made, as always it was a rush to get them all done and mailed in time.
I got a Silhouette Cameo over the Summer so it came in handy to make some of the cards since there are cut files that cuts out the whole card.  Here are a few of those cards.
Here are a few other random cards I made.
So there are several of the ones I made this year.  I know Christmas is well past but I still wanted to share them with all of you.
Happy New Year to all and thanks for stopping by.
