It's an Order...

Hi, hope everyone had a wonderful Easter yesterday.
Our was quiet but very nice.

Today I have a card to share that I made following the sketch over at the
sketch challenge What If Wednesday   from The House that Stamps Built.
The image is from KennyK that I colored suing my Copic markers.
I printed up some digital paper from Sassy Designs.  So glad I had that camo print.  The banner was written and cut using my Cricut Explore.
I added some corners that are dies from My Little Paper World.  I love these corner dies.
The inside I also wrote using my Explore.

This card will be entered into the following challenges.

Bugaboo Birdie

Hi, I have a card to share using this week's Mojo Monday sketch.

I used a Bugaboo image and colored it using my Copic markers.

Isn't he cute?  I added some Crystal Lacquer to the balloons
and a few glitter highlights here and there but you can't see them in the photo.
I cut him out using one of my Gina Marie dies and then created a shadow
layer to it using Design Space and cut it out with my Explore.   I was happy that
I found the exact shape with the correct aide dimensions.
The papers I used are from an older DCWV stack called
Flower Shower Spring stack.  Love this combination of colors.
I used one of my new Sugar Pea stamps.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by today as always I
love to read your comments.

I'll be adding this to the following challenges.

Hello Butterfly

Hi, wow posting 2 days in a row.

This is a very simple quick card that I saw on Pinterest and just
had to create one myself.  It was originally posted by

I used my Stampin Up Butterfly Framelits.  I love this set of
dies  as you can tell cause I have been using them a lot and they
have such a delicate look.

So that I could paint my swashes right where I wanted them
I had to mark the butterfly image somehow on my paper, so here it what I did.

I place my die upside down on top of the watercolor paper and ran it through my Big Shot.
That left just enough of an impression of where I wanted my butterfly to be cut out so I could add my paint.  Then I painted with watercolor color paints
across the butterfly impression then cut out the butterfly.
In order for me to mat the the panel I had to cut out another butterfly
in the exact same spot on a piece pink of paper.
To finish it off I stamped the "hello" in black ink.  The hello reminds me of
a doodling kind of writing.

This card is so easy to create, go ahead and give it a try.

I will enter it in the following challenges.

Teal & Green Birthday

Hello, I back to post a birthday card, yes another birthday
card.  It seems like I make a lot of birthday cards, well I do because that is
what I use the most of.

I love this color combination especially with the splash of purple
in there.  The paper is from K&Company Floral Dreams.
One of my favorite paper stacks, oh who am I kidding they are
all my favorites, I am a paper hoarder.
This is a half fold card, which I love making sometimes
to get more impact.
The happy birthday is a CTMH stamp and I added some lace
to give it a more elegant look.
Well that's it, would love to hear what you think of my card.

Watermelon Patch

I have a super cute card to share with you today.

I created this card for the sketch challenge over at
Sugar Pea Designs, unfortunately I don't have any of their
stamps yet (they are on there way!) so I used this
darling image from Cute as a Button.  In fact this is the
freebie for the month of March.

I am learning so much from the Kit and Clowder classes especially using
my Prisma Pencils. So this image is colored with my Prisma Pencils and then cut out using one of my Wonky rectangle dies.  The papers are all from my single
sheet stash.  I added the sentiment which was written and cut using my Cricut Explore.

I will enter this into the challenge over at:

Enjoy the Ride

Hello hope everyone is doing well.
Today I have a card to share with you that has a couple things going on
with it.  First off it is following one of the sketches
over at the Crafting Circle message board Monthly
Sketch Challenge.  There is usually an extra credit thing
to to further challenge us and this month the extra credit
is to do a "new fold" card.

I colored this Mo Manning image using my Copic markers.  I mounted her
on a panel and then used one of my corner punches to add some fancy
corners.  I think this image is so cute.  I stamped the sentiment with
a CTMH stamp that I thought was perfect for the image.
This card opens a bit like a joy fold card but then has an interesting
twist when you open the inside.  Not a very good picture of
it but here it is opened.

Here is another angle.

It was so easy to create because our hostess Sandy for this months challenge
even provided us with a cut file for the Cricut Explore.

I'll add something to the inside when I decide how
I will use it.

Thanks for stopping by.
I will entering this in the following challenges:

Wood Plank Card

Hi, hope everyone is having a great day!

I saw this technique a few weeks back on
The House that Stamps Built blog. Every Thursday
they feature a Project of the week and this technique was
one of those projects  Plank Background .
It looked easy enough to do and produced a great result.
So here is my card I made using this technique to make my
background plank paper.

I added a panel which I embossed with a wood-grain pattern.
I actually created this card following one of the sketches for the
The challenge runs the whole month of March so you still
jave plenty of time to hop on over and join in.
The sentiment I made up (I know kind of corny) and wrote using my Cricut Explore.
Here is what the inside looks like also written with the Explore.

So that's it, that my card for today.
Have a great weekend!

Dream Catcher

Hi!  I have always loved
dream catchers so when I was doing a challenge
the photo inspiration was feathers I thought
this would be perfect.

The dream catcher is a sticker from Paper Studio La Petites.
I created the background paper by stamping with a Versamark ink pad using
my CTMH feather stamps then heat embossed with clear.  I love this
look and always forget about using it.
I embossed the left panel with a Southwest Cuttlebug folder.

I have not added a sentiment yet cause not sure what I will use it for.
It would make a great male card or an encouragement to
follow your dreams.

Thanks for taking a peak today at my blog, hope
you have a great day.

Flowers to brighten your day

Hello, hope everyone had a great weekend
and had a chance to do some crafting.

Today I made a card following the sketch this week over
If you know me I can not create or make a
card without following a sketch, at least rarely.

The papers I used in the background are from K & Company's
Garden Cottage stack.
I cut the flower using one of my Heartfelt Creations dies.
The sentiment is a stamp from Rubbernecker stamps.

Since it is the 1st Monday of the month the challenge at
Mojo Monday is a prize challenge.  You could win your choice of a
set of Verve stamps, so go on over and join in.

I'll also this card over at:

Daisy Birthday

Hello everyone, with Spring just around the corner I have
a very Spring lie birthday card to share.

The background is single sheet paper that I have had for years.
I had just received the Wild Rose Studio birthday branch dies so I cut it from
bright yellow paper and added a few pearls in the flowers on the branch.
I also added a strip of Washi tape across the top of the card.  The
daisy flowers along the bottom and side are Martha Stewart stickers.
And that's it a pretty simple care but bright and cheery.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges
Challenge Up Your Life - Die Cuts
Just Us Girls - Floral
Crafty Friends Challenge - Flowers

A Simple Male Card

Hi, hope everyone's weekend is off to a great start.

I have a simple masculine card to share with you
today, I know sometimes they can be difficult to do.

The sentiment is stamped with a Stampin Up stamp from the
Happy Birthday Everyone set.
You really can't see it too well but the small square along the side are cutting using my new  Cottage Cutz stitched dies and the center one is
a Gina Marie die.  Then added some enamel embellishments from
Cloud 9 Designs.

Thanks for coming and taking a look at my card.

Watercolor Butterfly

I am so excited I made a card today!!!!!!!!
I feel like it has been a long time since I actually made a card.

The other day I was messing around with my Stampin Up
set Watercolor Wings which also has matching die set.

I stamped the butterfly in 3 steps (3 stamps) using Kaleidcolor Ink Pad
Pastel, to give a watercolor look.  If you are not familiar with them they have 5 different colors in one ink pad.
I was so surprised when I pulled it out that it actually
still had ink since I have had it for 15+ years.
After stamping it I cut it with the matching die.
Then I just layered papers in colors from the butterfly and
embossed the pink layer with a butterfly embossing folder to add some
texture to this card.
You can't see it in the picture but the pink is sparkley cause
I misted it with some homemade glimmer mist I have.
The sentiment is a GinaK Design stamp.

Here the butterfly close up.

I created this card following one of the sketches on the Crafting Circle message board for the March Monthly Sketch Challenge so you have lots of time to join in if you choose to.
