Trying to get a head start

Hi, back to share a quick card with you today.

As with the last one I made it for the Power & Spark challenge
this month over at the Power Poppy blog.

This month's challenge was to grab a sketch from CardMaps
and make a card following the sketch.

Here is the sketch I chose for this card.

And here is the card I made
For this, I thought I would color the Candy Cane image from Power Poppy
and get a headstart on my Christmas cards.  I am going to try and create
Christmas cards all year long so it won't be such a big rush at the last minute.

Well that's it for today, you can keep checking back in on my blog to
see if I really do make some Christmas cards all year long.

Sunflowers by Bugaboo

Hi, sorry kind of running behind a week or so with
over at the Crafting Circle.

I chose this simple Sunflower image from Bugaboo digis
to use for this months card.

I watercolored the image using my Distress Oxide inks and kept it
simple.  Found some paper in one of my K&Company stacks that
picked up the colors in the image perfectly.
I used a Gina Marie die to cut the scalloped frame to go around
the image.

Thanks for stopping by have a great week.

Happy Birthday Mom

Hi, I am back to share another card I made using
a PowerPoppy image.  It is actually for their
For this month's challenge, PowerPoppy teamed up
with CardMaps so you had to use one of the sketches
over at CardMaps

Here is the sketch I chose to use for my card.
As many of you know I love following a sketch so this was the
perfect challenge for me, PLUS there is a $50 gift card to
the PowerPoppy store up for grabs.

Here is my card.
My Mom's birthday is coming up next month so I thought I would
make a card for her.  I colored the Pansies digital image using
my Copic markers.    I also created this card using the colors
this week over at the PowerPoppy blog for the
Hues to Use challenge.  This week the colors were really challenging
so I thought the best way to use them is on flowers.

So I was lucky enough to combine the 2 challenges.  There is always
something going on at the PowerPoppy blog so be sure and check it out.

Well thanks for stopping to take a peek, hope you have a
great day.

Well HELLO Dahlia

Hi, I have a nice Spring colors card to share with you
today.  I created this card using the colors from
the challenge on the PowerPoppy blog called
I made this card following a sketch challenge I do at the
Crafting Circle, I thought it worked great for this image.
The image is a digital image from PowerPoppy called
Hello Dahlia and is a set with 3 images and 2 sentiments.
I printed the image twice and colored it with my Zig Clean Color
brush markers.  The larger flower I colored twice then hand cut it out
and popped it on top to add some dimension to the image.

New Hues to Use go up every Tuesday at the PowerPoppy blog
but the link always stays open so you can post anytime.
There are several different challenges going on all the time
at PowerPoppy even one that has a $50 prize to shop in
the Power Poppy store.  So head on over and check them out.

Happy New Year - Dilly Dilly

Well Happy 2018 to all, I know, I know I am a little late
but the wish for a happy, healthy and crafty New Year is
still meant very much.

We say this every year or it seems to get worse every year but this
past holiday season really kicked my butt or got me so
chasing my tail I couldn't get anything done.
I did manage to get this little project done just in the
knick of time to give my brother-in-law for Christmas.
He is a pretty funny guy so always try to do something with a chuckle
for him.

Recently a beer commercial came out where there are several different
medieval versions which all at some point they
say "Dilly-Dilly".  Well my hubby and his brother now are
always saying "dilly-dilly" to each other for any old
reason that suits their fancy at the time, so I thought it
would be perfect to make him this shirt.

I was pretty happy with how it turned out, I think I chose the perfect
font and the crown is symbol from the Ancient font.
Sorry the picture is not so great but at least you can see it.

Our theme or challenge this month  at the Crafty Awesomeness Challenge
was to use something you got
for Christmas in your project, well I didn't get anything crafty
for Christmas but I got a new laptop (woo-hoo) so I used it to design this
in Cricut Design Studio and cut it out with my Cricut Explore.
I used HTV or heat transfer vinyl and ironed it on the shirt.

So head on over and join in the Crafty Awesomeness Challenge,
there is a $20 Kit & Clowder gift card up for grabs.

Well, I thought I would throw this in here, since it is that
same crazy BIL birthday this month.  Here is the card
I made for him.
The image I have had for years and is from
Digis with an Attitude but unfortunately I don't think they
are in business anymore.
