No Line Coloring

Hi, lately in the "coloring" world no line coloring is
all the rage.  I have to admit I love the look of it, but not
very good at it.
So over at Power Poppy this month the challenge is......
I had to give it a try using Power Poppy image
Tulips in a Hobnail Pitcher.  I printed it on my printer
but changed the lines to print in very light gray, probably
too light cause it was hard to see.
I have to admit I kind of messed up, mostly on the leaves.
All in all, though I do like the color palette and once I put it together on
a card it didn't look too bad.
I colored it using my Zig Clean Color pens on Strathmore Bristol smooth
paper, I like this paper for Zig coloring.
I then cut out the oval using a Gina Marie die in the middle of my
checked paper.  Love this set of dies cause after you cut out the center
you also have a stitched oval piece to use.  I mounted that whole panel on craft fun foam to raise it off the base.  The circle I cut using my Cricut and then
stamped with a stamp from CTMH.  I used Catherine Pooler's Tiara ink                    and it matched the paper perfectly.  I love these inks!

Now over at Kit and Clowder this month Alyce has a class
for coloring with no lines, so after I did this I went on over and sign up                    for the class.  Maybe I will do an updated version
of this one after I have done the class, just for comparison
purposes.  I am sure it will be remarkably better as Alyce is
a fabulous teacher.

So you have until the end of the month to join this challenge
at Power Poppy's blog, head on over a join in.
Thanks for stopping to take a peak.

Unity Feathers

Hi, I have a card to share with you that I created using some
The challenge this time on Unity's Show & Tell Facebook page
is all about feathers.

For this card I used the feathers from the Feather Soft Love set.
I had such a hard time getting a good picture of this card.
I could not get the color to show right.  The background is a real pretty      coral like peach.
I bought it as a single sheet from Michaels and it was already embossed
with the chevron pattern, I really need to go back and see
what other colors and patterns they have.
I stamped the feathers and then heat embossed them using gold embossing
powder.  I then watercolored them using my Zig Clean Color pens, and fussy cut them out.
The sentiment is also a Unity stamp from the
That's it, it was a fairly simple card.  Thanks for stopping by.

Let Your Dreams Bloom - Bugaboo

Hi, this month at the Bugaboo Crafting Circle challenge
we got to work with a "mystery" image and you can image
how thrilled I was to find that it was flowers!  I love coloring
flowers and making cards with them.

The mystery image was Flower Doodles from

This time I printed the image on vellum, then I colored on the backside
using my PrismaPenicls.  After it was colored I layered the vellum on
a very pale yellow piece of paper.
I  cut the ribbon banner using a Gina Marie die and then stamped it with in fact a                   Unity stamp. Pretty simple but I love the way it turned out.
This is a pretty new challenge over at the Crafting Circle, in fact, this month
is just the second challenge.  It runs every month from the 15th
through the 14th of the next month.
You need to use a Bugaboo image but not to worry Jodie offers
a freebie every Friday, plus her prices are very reasonable on her
other images.
Thanks for stopping by, look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Get Well Teapot - Bugaboo

Hello, hope everyone had a great Valentine's day and didn't
eat too much chocolate.

Today I have a card to share with you for our new
This is just the second month of this brand new challenge so we would love fo you to join in the fun.
You can create anything you want as long as you use a
Bugaboo image and there are some adorable ones.
The image I got to work with is called Flower Teapot and it can
be found HERE.

I printed out the image onto kraft cardstock and the colored it with a
mix od PrismaPencils and Polychromos.  I absolutely love coloring
on kraft cardstock with pencils.  The colors seem tp pop off the paper.
I thought this image was good for a get well card so I cut
out the sentiment using my Cricut Explore.  I picked up some
of the colors I used and then matted the kraft paper on those colors.
The edges I stamped with a stamp that came in a ProvoCraft stamp
set I got a few years back.  The stamp is only about 2 1/2 inches long so thankfully I had my MISTI and got to stamp around the edges perfectly lined up.

So that's it!  Go ahead grab yourself a Bugaboo image and play
along, you will have till March 14th to enter.  Remember
Jodie at Bugaboo has a Friday freebie, plus her images are very reasonable.

February 3, 2017

Hi, I have a quick card to share with you today.
Well quick for me even though it is very simple it still took me
30-45 minutes to make.  It just takes me forever to pick my papers
and the embossing folders.
Freshly Made Sketches
As soon as I saw this sketch at Freshly Made Sketches I
knew I wanted to make a CAS (clean and simple) card using
different tones of the same color.
So here is what I came up with.

I used pearl linen like paper for the white background and embossed
it with an Anna Griffith folder. I stamped the sentiment
using a Verve stamp.
And that is it, even though it is a very simple
card I love how it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by, I would love the hear what you think of my card.

A Purple Giraffe?

Hello, well here it is the 1st of February so it is time for

This month our sponsor is
Cute As A Button digital images.
I have a great-granddaughter's 6th birthday coming up so
I chose to use this cute giraffe
image.
I colored "her" using my Copic markers.  Fro some reason I never color
a giraffe a normal giraffe color lol.  My G-granddaughter loves purple
so purple it was.
I cut him out using one of my new Gina Marie dies, I LOVE this
Loopy Edge rectangle.  I embossed the pearl yellow background and added
a glitter panel down the center, after all, a little girl can't
have too much sparkle.
I cut a wavy ribbon banner out using my Cricut Explore
and then stamped it with a Unity Stamp from the

You have a whole month to create something for the
Crafty Awesomeness challenge,
so come on over and join the fun.
