Honor America Card

I am sending this card to my Grandson who is in the Navy.  I created it following the sketch this week at Mojo Monday,  stop by and check it out.
  Our challenge was to make a different shape card, I chose to make a 5 1/2 inch square card.

Happy Mojo Monday!  For the last week of the month, we like to mix things up and focus on non-traditional sized cards.  So since it's Round or Square week try a round card, a square card or both if you're feeling really inspired!!  {If you're not sure how to make a round card, I described my process in the 2nd paragraph of this post on my blog a few months ago.}

I think is looks very patriotic, which was my intention.

The "honor" I cut using my Stand Salute Cricut cartridge that I just got.  I think I will get a lot of use out of it with my grandson in the Navy.  There are some great cuts on this cartridge.  The "America" is a sticker and the red border across the bottom I cut using a Martha Stewart punch.  I didn't think about it till the card was put together, Stand & Salute has a border feature and I am sure I could have found a great border there.  Oh well I hope I remember next time.
I carried the theme to the inside and think the sentiment fits as he enteres this new venture in his life.
I hope you can read the saying, it came out kind of light when I stamped it.  It is a Gina K Designs stamp.
Thank you so much for stopping by, I really appreciate, leave me a comment to let me know you where here :).
