Flower Does it look like a Rose?

Hi, glad you stopped in.  I made this flower following the instructions on Ali's blog Misadventures of a Multi Crafteer, she makes awesome flowers, it is suppose to be a rose but I think I missed a step or something but I guess it came out ok anyways.  I did make a second one but I chose to put this one on this card.
The flower was cut using the Art Philosophy cartridge.  I cut the center cut that you roll up, then I cut five layers for the rest of the flower.  It was all cut from white paper then inked with Distress Inks.  I punched the top edge of the plaid paper with an MS border punch then added a green layer using the same punch.  The top strip of flowers is also from an MS punch that I colored in lightly using my Distress Inks, and added some small pearls to the center of each flower.  This card was made following a sketch on the Cricut message board, but I will also enter it into the Cricut Circle Art Inspiration Challenge.  The challenge was to get inspiration from a photo.  Here is the art inspiration picture.
I think I got pretty close.  The prize for this is a Cuttlebug machine and a couple folders.  I Cuttlebugged the upper part of the card which is pearl white paper using the stylized flowers folder.
Here is a closer view of the flower,
I also cut the leaves using the Art Philosophy cartridge and scored them using my stylist.  It is actually a tree cut but when you cut it small enough it looks like a rose leaf, as least it does to me.    There is a pearl deep down inside that center, kind of hard to see.  I love making flowers although it makes the cards a challenge to mail.  Be sure and stop by Ali's blog The Misadventures of a Multi Crafteer, she has several other flower tutorials, I think my next one to attempt might be the Dahlia.

Well thanks for taking the time to peak in on my blog, let me know what you think of my flower.
