A Variety of Birthday Cards

Hello all, I know it has been a long time again since I posted.
I am sure everyone is busy getting ready for Thanksgiving and time with family & friends.  Lots of prep for that big meal.

So I thought I would quickly share some birthday cards I have made recently.

This one was made using the CTMH paper pack Clementine.

This one is a great guy card which are sometimes hard to make.

I really love my Explore so these next two cards are made using it.
This one I drew or wrote the feathers using the write feature and pens in my Explore.  The happy birthday I  cut from vinyl and attached it to the label. I love how this one came out.
And the last one I used the print then cut feature.  Since I have an Imagine I was given access to all the Imagine images.  I am very impressed with the print then cut feature. It cuts so precisely.

Thank you for stopping by and I wish everyone a
very very Happy Thanksgiving.

Hooray For You

Hello, sorry it has been a long time since I posted.
I am so far behind, I have lots of cards that I have made that I still need to post.
Maybe I will do a large group post you can see them all.

Today I am posting a card I made following a sketch this time on the Wednesdays Sketch Challenge on the Cricut message board.
There is also ad colors posted as additional inspiration.  This weeks colors are Black, White & Gray so this card follows along those colors also.
The background paper is from a very old DCWV stack called Glitter stack, I have had this stack for years, it was actually one of my first paper stacks I bought.
The strip of diamond cut is cut using the CTMH Artbooking cartridge and the Hooray for You was cut using Don Juan.
This week the challenge at The House that Stamps Built was also using the colors Black, White & Gray so I will enter this card in that also also.   You don't have to use their stamps but if you do you will receive an extra entry, you have till September 23rd to post your creation.
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by.
Have a great day!

So here is my card.

Paper Players Sketch Challenge

Hi back to share a card with you I made following the sketch this week at Paper Players.

The papers are from last years CTMH Frosted paper pack.
I cut the snowflake using a Cameo Silhouette file.  You can't really see them but I added small pearl around the tips of the snowflake.
The stamp is a Gina K Design stamp.

Thank you for taking to the time to stop by for a visit.

Some Fun Cards

Hello, I don't know about you, but sometimes it is difficult to make a child card so I have a few to share with you today that could be used for a child.

I liked this bright shiny epoxy clown sticker and he had all the colors to go with my polka dot paper.

I might just use this one for my grown son since he really enjoys fishing.  The papers and the image are from Nit Wits "Gone Fishing" collection.
This one I created using Cricut Craft Room software and the Kate's ABCs cartridge.  I welded the letters together.  The Happy is from Create a Critter.
Here is how it opens.
And one more plain one that also had a fishing theme.  I will add a sentiment later.
This one may be a little more appropriate for my son who will turn 44 at the end of this year.

Well thanks for taking the time to stop by, I hope you all had a great weekend.

A Variety of cards

Well once again I am way behind in posting cards on my blog, so you catch up a bit I thought I would do a group post of several cards I have made recently.
Here are a couple of "Thinking of You" cards
I made the background paper on this card using some spray inks I picked up at Michaels and watercolor paper.  I really love playing around and making background papers, not like I don't have a room full of paper, LOL it is just fun to see what kind of patterns turn out. The center label I cut and wrote using my Explore machine, I love this option! The butterfly is a My Mind's Eye brad.
I love this lime green and purple combination. The hummingbird image are rub-ons that bought a very lone time ago.  You can't really see it in the picture but they are sparkly.
I wanted to cut something with small line with my Explore to see how it cut so I cut this birdcage, this one cut fine but it turns out my Explore does have a problem and it is being replaced. :(.  I have really enjoyed it for the month I had and I can't wait to get one that really cuts great like it should.  The Thank you is written using my Explore.
I will add a sentiment when I decide how to use this card.  It has lots of sparkle on it.  The paper is from the DCWV Sweet Stack.

Well thanks for taking the time to stop by.  I will try and post some more cards over the next few days.

Kokopelli for Viva la Verve

Hello I am back to share a card with you that I made following a sketch from Viva la Verve.
They post 4 sketches each month and will pick a winner at the end of the month to receive a $100 gift card for their products.  I got to say I love their stamps although I did not use one on this card.
I made the background paper for this card using watercolor paper and Tim Holtz Distress paints.  I am really into creating paper with watercolor paper, I love the different looks you get.
This background colors reminded me of the southwest so that is why I chose the Kokopelli stamp from My Heart Stamps For You.
I will probably add a Verve sentiment when I decide how I will use this card.

Thanks for stopping by and remember you have till July 31st to join in the fun.

Happy Birthday Lemon Stack

Hello, back again with another card to share.
This one is kind of bright and sparkly.
The "M" is there temporarily till I decide who I will be sending it to then I will add the appropriate letter.   I embossed the center oval with an Anna Griffin folder.  I love this folder.
The paper is from DCWV Lemon Flower stack.
This follows the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge over at the Paper Players.
For this one I used the far right hand row Birthday-Green-Embossing.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by.

Nautical Birthday

Hello blogging friends, I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.
Today I have a card to share with you that I made using digital papers I printed from Nit-Wits (I know a funny name huh?) Coastal Collection that I purchased and downloaded.  There are some really neat things in this collection besides just paper.

I made this card following one of the sketches from a challenge on the Cricut message board.   I am thrilled with how it turned out.  I think card reminds me of Summer and vacationing on the coast.  We are planing a trip to Maine later this summer, so the challenge this week at Sentimental Sundays is "Summer" so I will enter this card there.
The life preserver was cut using the Life's a Beach cartridge and the sentiment is a Rubbernecker stamp.
I will also post this on the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge over at The Paper Players
Here are the choices.
So I used the top row  Twine-Blue-Birthday.
Come on over and at Paper Players you have July 4th.
Thanks for stopping by.

Mojo Monday Sketch 346

Hello, I back to share another Mojo Monday card with you.
I love to follow sketches so try to play along on Monday's when I can.

The background paper pack is from the DCWV French Country paper stack that I got at Michaels a couple weeks ago for $5 and it is a full 12 x 12 stack.
I stamped the sentiment using an old Stampin Up stamp and heat embossed.
I cut the ribbon banner using my Cameo, and added some lace border along the edge.
Thanks for stopping by and you still have a couple days if you want to join in the fun at Mojo Monday this week.

A few more birthday cards

Hello everyone, boy I am on a roll clearing out my waiting to post basket, I told you I was behind on posting.  LOL
Today I have 3 more birthday cards to share with you.

Birthday Greetings
Lots of different texture and embossing on this card.  The background paper is pearl off white that I embossed using my butterfly embossing folder and my eBosser.  The center image I got off of Google and cut out. Sorry I stand corrected I actually got this image off of Pinterest.

Fabric buttons
A while back I bought a package of embellishments from Michael's dollar bin.  I loved the bright colors and have had it sitting on my desk waiting to use it.  Well FINALLY months later I did use it on a card.  The three buttons are covered with fabric and the pink rick-rack behind them also came in that embellishment package.  The happy birthday I cut using a new die I recently bought.

Spring Chicken

I love chicken things and have a collection of different ones on top of my kitchen cabinet, so when I saw this stamp set at Mark's Finest I just had to get it, not to mention the humor behind it.  I embossed the background with my chicken wire embossing folder.  I stamped the chickens in colors to match the paper, then stamped the chicken wire over the top of them with my Versa Mark stamp pad.
This one you have to see the inside also.
I thought this was funny, now I have to figure out who to send it to that would not be offended.

Thanks for stopping by again, will keep working on that basket of cards.

Party Pig

Hello everyone, I have a fun card to share with you today.
I was challenged to make an animal shaped card so this is what I came  up with.
The pig is from the Animal Kingdom cartridge.  I "highlighted" the cut marking with ink to make them stand out a bit more..  Stamped a sentiment then embossed it like the pig and mounted on the front.
Using Cricut Craft room I welded two pigs together at the top to make it into a card.  The inside sentiment is computer generated.

Well thanks for stopping by, I hope enjoy my fun card.

Thank you strawberries

Hello everyone, hope everyone will have a great weekend of crafting.
Today I have a cute thank you card to share with you.
The papers I used are from the DCWV Nana's Nursery stack.  I cut the strawberries from the Preserves cartridge, then covered them with Crystal Lacquer.  The sentiment is a Gina K stamp.
Thanks so much for stopping by, I will try and continue to do some more posting to clear out my "waiting to post" basket.

Some birthday cards to share

Hello everyone, I am so far behind in posting on my blog that I thought I would share with you a few birthday cards I have made over the past couple of months.
I keep my cards in a basket till I post them before putting them away in my stash boxes so I can keep track of which ones I have posted.  Well my basket is getting a bit full so I thought I would do a group post.

First one "a little birdie told me"
The stamp is one of CTMH stamps of the month from last year.  I had the birdie bling for a while and decided it was time to use it.

Make a Wish
This one is nice and shiny. The background chevron paper is glossy and all the banners are glitter paper.  The make a wish is a DavidTutera sticker.

Birthday clouds
I tried to make this one look a bit like the grass and the sky so I used my Darcie clouds embossing folder.  The happy birthday I "wrote" using one of my Silhouette sketch pens.

Happy birthday wishes.
This one is pretty bright and cheery.  Lots of spots and embossing.  I put a piece of washi tape on a strip of white card stock and slipped it through a CTMH metal slide.  The center is a Rubberneceker stamp.

Well that's it for today.  Will try and come back tomorrow and share some more cards with you.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Mojo Monday #344 - Celebrate

Hello everyone, I have another Mojo Monday card to share with you today.
I made this one using the papers from the CTMH Tommy paper pack and coordinating canvas stickers.
I stamped the "celebrate" using CTMH tulip ink 3 times without re-inking the stamp to give it a faded effect.  I also used CTMH stitching stamp around the edges and that's it!
You still have time to join in the fun at Mojo Monday, thanks for stopping by.

A Baptism Card

Over the past weekend one of our great-granddaughters was baptised.
Here is the card I created for this blessed event.
There is a lot of embossing on this.  All the papers are pearl white paper and the purple tones are also pearl.  I embossed the background with Design Objective folder, this folder is 8 1/2 by 11 in size and fits in my eBosser.  I love the larger size for making bigger cards.  The cross is cut using the Cricut New Testament cartridge.  I embossed it with a Cuttlebug folder, but did not want the pattern too deep so it would no clash with the background so I ran it through the Cuttlebug a second time putting it under the plates and not in the folder (hope this makes sense).  This way it flattened out the embossing a bit but left a slight impression.
The center is a resin flower from CTMH.  I stamped the sentiment with a GinaK stamp, the colors matched better is person than it does in the picture.
Here is the inside and the sentiment is computer generated.
This week at Sentimental Sunday the challenge is to use embossing wet or dry, I have used both on this card.  The sentiment is heat embossed.
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you enjoy my card.

Mojo Monday #336

I have a card to share with you today that follows the sketch this week at
A while back I bought the DCWV Chalkboard stack, I love the chalkboard look with fonts on it.
So finally I used some of it to create this card.
I used my Cameo and white gel pen to write the birthday wishes on a piece of the red chalkboard paper.  It has a very rough feel to it much like a chalkboard.  I then triple cut layers around it.
The houndstooth background paper is from the DCWV Natural stack, then I embossed the red with my houndstooth folder.  I added some velvet like ribbon and a CTMH embellishment.
Thanks so much for stopping by, hope you have a wonderful day.

Southwestern Kokopelli

Hello visitors.
Living in the Southwest I love to create southwestern themed cards.
This card will work very well for a male card, you know the ones that are sometimes are to make.
I stamped the 2 Kokopellis and the cactus and heat embossed them with copper embossing powder. I distressed the edges around the stamped images. I also stamped and embossed the happy birthday. The background paper is a single sheet from Paper Pizzaz.
I will link this card up to the Sentimental Sundays challenge this week, which is to make a male/boy card, which is great because I am trying to build up my male card stash.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by.

Play Ball!.........

Hello everyone!  Are you ready for Spring to start, or in our house we look forward to the baseball season starting.
Here is Arizona it has been unusually hot this Winter it has been in the upper 70s or 80s.
My husband really likes baseball (I do too)and his birthday in April 2nd which sometimes falls on opening day.  So here is a card I made a while back to give him, but had never posted it.
I cut the background pattern, baseball and the chevrons using the CTMH Artbooking cartridge.  The happy birthday is stamped using a Sweet & Sassy stamp.
Then I found another baseball card idea on Pinterest that I liked so I started to make that for him but it is not done yet so I will share that in another post.
This week at Sentimental Sundays the challenge is to make a male/boy card so i will be linking this card to that challenge.

Dazzles & Teal

Hello, I am back again to share a card with you that I made.
This week the throwdown at Operation Write Home is a color challenge to use teal or turquoise as your primary color on your card.    I am sure you have heard of OWH, they are a fabulous organization that does wonderful things for our troops that are deployed.  If you have not heard of them please check out there blog HERE.
This card is so pretty in person.  The bees & flowers are Dazzle stickers that are very sparkly.  I have so many of them but always forget to use them.  I triple matted the 3 labels and the strip behind them.  I think it really sets them off.
I will stamp a sentiment on it when I decide how to use it.

Thanks for stopping by to take a peak at me blog.
