Kokopelli for Viva la Verve

Hello I am back to share a card with you that I made following a sketch from Viva la Verve.
They post 4 sketches each month and will pick a winner at the end of the month to receive a $100 gift card for their products.  I got to say I love their stamps although I did not use one on this card.
I made the background paper for this card using watercolor paper and Tim Holtz Distress paints.  I am really into creating paper with watercolor paper, I love the different looks you get.
This background colors reminded me of the southwest so that is why I chose the Kokopelli stamp from My Heart Stamps For You.
I will probably add a Verve sentiment when I decide how I will use this card.

Thanks for stopping by and remember you have till July 31st to join in the fun.

Southwestern Kokopelli

Hello visitors.
Living in the Southwest I love to create southwestern themed cards.
This card will work very well for a male card, you know the ones that are sometimes are to make.
I stamped the 2 Kokopellis and the cactus and heat embossed them with copper embossing powder. I distressed the edges around the stamped images. I also stamped and embossed the happy birthday. The background paper is a single sheet from Paper Pizzaz.
I will link this card up to the Sentimental Sundays challenge this week, which is to make a male/boy card, which is great because I am trying to build up my male card stash.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by.

Fancy Coyote Card

I found this place that sells a lot of Southwestern type stamps.  My Heart Stamps 4 U check them out they have a large variety of all types of stamps and there service was speedy.
I made this card for my husbands birthday that is coming up in early April.  He makes things out of wood and is always telling me I should make southwestern cards so here it is.
I will add "Happy Birthday later.  The coyote I stamped and heat embossed with copper, then colored it in using my Promarkers.  I see now that I put the bottom brad on crooked Oops!  The pot looks popped in the photo but it is not, I may go in and stamp another one and raise that area up or cover it with Crackle Accents.

Well thanks so much for stopping by.  :)
