Christmas Wreath

Well this is my first Christmas card of the year.  This week at Crafty Creations the challenge given to us by Dawn is "Anything but a Square", so I made this card 8 by 4 inches.  Our sponsor this week is Wags & Whiskers, join in so you could win some of these adorable images.

I didn't cut part of the wreath off on accident, I was following a sketch that had a partial circle on the front.  I thought that gave me an opportunity to make a Christmas card.  The wreath is made using the Martha Stewart branch punch.  I cut a circle base using my Cricut then glued each branch onto it.  The branch pieces were punch from pearl white linen paper.  It is so pretty and sparkly in person.  Plus all the bling I added to the wreath really made it sparkle.  The bottom area is also that same pearl white linen paper that I embossed using my Cuttlebug and a Christmas branch folder.

Every year I make about 50 Christmas cards and I try to make them all the same, it is easier for me plus then I don't get confused year to year what card I made.  I would love to make this as my Christmas card, but I just don't think I can punch out that many branches, I think this card took about 30+ and they are not that easy to punch out of heavy paper.   The Happy Holidays is a Gina K stamp.

So come on it is not that hard to make "anything but a square" and join in the fun at Crafty Creations.

It is time to get thinking about your Christmas cards and get started if you need some inspiration and want to join in a challenge check out this blog Christmas Crafting, I wll be entering this card there.  It has a lot of sparkle!

Thanks for taking the time to leave me a comment. I love to read them, besides that way I knew you were here to take a peak.
