Thinking of You

I think this card turned out so pretty.  This was something I would never had put together myself, but with the help of the sketches this week at RAQs Challenge and the Ad Color challenge on the Cricut message board this card came together very well.
The color challenge was , green, yellow & blue and this paper worked perfectly for that combination.

 

I had a cut file set up in Design Studio to cut out the panels and I had problems with the computer recognizing that my Expression was plugged in, so I just cut them by hand and rounded the corners with a punch.  

Now today my computer is back to seeing my Expression, so I was able to cut our the flowers from yellow card stock.  

Thre is seven layers to this flower, I tried something new and  I inked all the edges with the same ink that I use to stamp the "thinking of you" and then sprayed them with lemon zest Glimmer Mist, I love this stuff, it really sparkles but hard to see in the picture.  Also the paper is very shinny and bright.  I then crumpled them up and stacked them using descending sizes gluing each as I go.  When they were all layered I added a skittle to the center.  They were still damp so I could fuss with the layer and get them to where I wanted them.
The background paper is from the Cafe Mediterranean stack, which has some wonderful papers in.
