A Guy Happy Birthday

My grandson turned 18 on May12th so I made his this card.  It is rather simple but I think it came out well.
The upper part of the card is pearlescence dark blue that I Cuttlebugged.  Both papers are from Hot Off the Press Masculine papers.  The bottom I ripped then inked and rolled the top edge slightly.  The tag is from a K&Company tag pad, that I stamped using one of my Gina K Designs stamps.  Happy Birthday is a vinyl sticker.
The fun or special part of this card is the button.  It is made from paper, something that was in my SplitCoast Stampers newsletter.  There are so many fun things at SplitCoast Stampers, it is where I go if I want some ideas and inspiration.
Now the button, I cut five 3/4 inch circles using my Cricut and two 3/4 inch rings then glued them all on top of each other.  I then used my Crop-a-Dial to punch the two holes through all the layers.  I covered the whole thing with Tim Holtz Crackle Accents.  When it dried I re-pinched the holes so I could thread the rope through the holes. I also entered this card into the challenge at Stamp TV where you had to use two designer papers.  This also fits the challenge at Divas by Design, which is "anything goes" and Stamping with Denise, and Sew Many Challenges, Stamp Challenges all of which are anything goes.
There are endless possibilities for this technique as you can make any shape and color you need to match your project perfectly.
Here is a look at the inside.

Thanks for stopping by, I would love to hear from you and be even more thrilled if you liked what you saw enough to become a follower.

Donna, Great guy card and guy colors. I also so the button video on SCStampers, very easy technique, but as you know I have a TON of buttons. But, if Ineed one of a certain color, I will for sure use this technique, TFS!
