A Couple of Birthday cards

Boy, I feel like I am so behind at posting on my blog that I will post two birthday cards on this post.

The first one I made following a sketch and it called for the vertical saying so I welded the birthday in the Cricut Craft Room using the Alphalicious cartridge.  I like using CCR (when it works correctly) as it makes welding and designing very easy.
The striped paper has some glitter on it and is from the DCWV Nana's Kids stack.  I cut it at angels and then sewed it onto the base paper.  Added some large eyelets to the corners and put a skittle in the corner of each.

The second card was also following a sketch.  I love these colors together and the paper made it easy to combine them.
The background pink paper I bought at Michaels and it was already embossed with the flower pattern.  I rubbed my Versamark pad over the raised areas so it would show up better.  The happy birthday is from the Birthday Cakes cartridge, added a few pearls to the corners for accents.

Thanks for stopping in and sorry I haven't posted much lately but hope to be a little more regular soon.
