Fall colors Wedding card

We have a wedding to go in early November and the wedding colors are Fall colors.  At first I thought that this colors might be a bit dark for a wedding card, but in the end I like the way it came out.
Since I needed to work with Fall colors I pulled out my DCWV Autumn stack from last year, this is still one of my favorite paper stacks.  I chose the dark red paper that has a slight black line design to it.  The base of the card is white pearl paper and I left a small edge of the white behind the red paper.  I embossed the top half of the background paper, but since the paper was thin it torn a bit and you can see the white, but I think that kind of gave it a nice effect and picked up the white border.  The border across the center is a very very pretty pearl like gold paper, it is so hard to see that in the picture.  I cut the border from the Martha Stewart All Occasion Cake art cartridge, and saved some of the small hearts and glue them on the bottom half of the card.
The heart were also cut from the MS All Occasion cartridge.  I printed the names on a piece of pearl white paper in brown and immediately sprinkled it with clear embossing powder the second it came out of the printer.  The pearl paper doesn't dry as fast so you have that window that you can sprinkle it with the embossing powder and then heat emboss it.
Now the tricky part was getting the hearts to cut out exactly around the names.  I used the "hinge" method.  I set up the hearts in my Gypsy then cut them from just plain white card stock, then took the hearts off the mat but left the rest on the mat and placed a piece of tape across the top.
Then I lifted that piece off the mat like a hinge leaving it attached at the top and slipped my printed piece of paper under the template to line up the printed names under the cut out hearts.  You can see my arrows of which way I had to move each heart to get them lined up.

Stuck my printed piece to the mat, removed the template (hinged piece) and loaded it in my Cricut to cut.  I think I made it a bit harder on myself by trying to cut out both name hearts at the same time instead of doing them individually.
Are here are the hearts cut out.

I hope this makes sense.  There is a video out there on You Tube on how to do this.  I am not too good at tutorials but I am trying
I then place pearls alternating small and tiny pearls around the hearts, cranberry colored on hers and brown on his.    The "Wedding Wishes" is stamped and heat embossed in gold.  I still have one more card to make for this wedding (for my Mom) so hope to get that posted in the next couple of days.

Thanks for taking time to spot by my blog.  I would love it if you left me a comment.

Oh Donna, this is Wonderful! I don't think that the colors are too dark for a wedding card. Everyone remembers the things that break from tradition. This is an amazing example of that. Your tutorial is fantastic and I love how you did the pearls around the hearts. You can see the love in every single little corner of this beautiful card!

Gorgeous card, love the colours you used. Have had the same trouble in the past and one brain working day I decided to put the paper inbetween a sheet of plain paper folded in half. Came out perfect. Seen your card on MIM. Carolxx
