I am so so excited at how this card came out, at the Circle Blog the monthly challenge is to create a "window" well this is exactly how it looks out my back window. We have mountains right behind us and lots of Saguaro cacti. The easel style of this card makes it look even more like a scene looking out a window.
I love how all the layers look and because it has so many layers I will enter it in the Pile it On challenge.
The "sand" like paper I printed using the Imagine cartridge Nature, then I torn the tops to look like mountains and inked the edges. I took a couple extra pieces and torn them also and place then behind to give it more depth. The night sky paper is from an Outdoor stack that I have.
The cactus and Coyote I cut from the Old West cartridge. I cut the cactus twice and pop dotted it so it would stand out against the mountains.
I used the Imagine cartridge, Ancestry for the pattern on the cactus. I also printed a pattern on the coyote but it doesn't show up in the picture.
Here is a side view on how the card stands up. I also matted the bottom with the same sand paper.
The saying are stamps from Mark's Finest paper that I stamped and embossed with black embossing powder. I the sentiments worked out perfect for this card.
Well I would love to hear what you think of my southwestern card. And thanks so much for taking the time to stop by.
