Thanks a Melon

Here is a cute Summery card I made to share with you.  With the 4th of July coming, I think we think of watermelon more often now than any other time of year.
I love the way this card came out cute and it was so simple after I decided on what papers I wanted to use.

I cut the watermelon and cantaloupe from the Preserves cartridge.  I layered the pieces then I used Glossy Accents on the watermelon and Crackle Accents on the cantaloupe.
The Crackle Accents made the cantaloupe look much better, it was so plain before.
The saying was cut from the Just Because Cards cartridge, I used my white gel pen to add the little dots, something I often forget to do and I love the way it looks.   I tied some bakers twine around the four sides and tied a bow in the middle.

Thanks for stopping in and I hope you all are enjoying spending time with your families, Happy Fathers Day to all the Daddys out there.

What a fabulous card, Donna! I love the way you've divided it into sections - with each section containing something different. And the accents on your melons are fabulous!!

Thanks so much for your kind words on my blog. I hope I'm not too late, but here are the dimensions for the tea bag (or fancy pin!!) holder:
Strip of cardstock cut to 8.5x3
Score at 3.25, 3.75 and 7.5.
Fold, decorate and enjoy!! (I used a ribbon around the bottom of mine (the 1 inch section) to keep things together. Then the top flap can just tuck inside.)

This whole card is just adorable. Love the cuts you used, the embossing, all the details. Terrific cantaloupe.
