Hap-BEE Birthday

Hi I am here today to share with you the card I created
using the new Friday Freebie over at

We has this cute little bee image to work with and our
added twist was to use glitter.  Well you don't have to tell me
twice to use glitter. LOL  Glitter makes everything better.

So without further ado.........
The background paper is from a CTMH paper pack and
worked perfect for this card.  I colored up the bee using
Wink of Stella glitter pens and my Copic markers.  I cut the bee out
using one of my Gina Marie stitched diamond dies.
You really should head over there and check out Gina Marie's
dies, they are great and so much cheaper than some of the
other companies and she has a great variety to pick from.
For example the stitched die I used above comes in a set
of 7 dies and is only $10.00 yes you read that
correctly $10!
I set up a diamond shape a bit larger than the die cut in Design Space and cut it from gold glitter paper using my Explore.
The sentiment is a Pink by Design
stamp that I had.  I cut the ribbon banner using my Explore and then
added some Sookwang tape around the edges and put gold
glitter on it.  The little glitter spots I had laying on my desk
from another project I did recently.

So make sure you stop by Scrapper's Delight and pick up
your Friday Freebie.

Watercolor Flower

Hello everyone, I am so excited to share this card
with you today.
I recently heard about Hero Arts monthly kits.
I was lucky enough to get my hands on one of the April
ones before they were sold out.
Even though they are sold out here is a link
so you can see what was in it and maybe watch for
next month's to be released.
I am so pleased with how this turned out and I am lovin coloring
with watercolors.  The Daniel Smith paints are wonderful!
Those little dabs go a long ways.
I did the painting following the video
Sandy Allnock put out.
She is amazing and it is so worth following her blog to
see what she comes out with next.
I used the dies and cut out part of the flower so there is 3 layers to it.
I also used a Gina Marie die for the corner bow.  This will
be my card for my Mom for Mother's Day.

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek, be sure and visit
Sandy Allnock's blog for some great inspiration.

This card will be entered in the following challenges.

A Bright Birthday Card

Hi, hope everyone has some great plans for the weekend.
I am here to day to share a card with you a made
using the bright papers from DCWV Nana's Kids stack.
This is an older stack but I have always like the cheerful colors
in it.
I created this card following the sketch this week over at
Tuesday Morning sketches.
The center panel is a piece cut out from a sheet of paper
in the Nana's Kids stack.  It made it super easy to
put this card together.
I stamped the sentiment using my MISTI and that was it.

Thanks for stopping by.
This card will be the following challenges

Soak up some Sun

Recently I have enjoyed working with water color paints
and Distress Inks.
Here is a card I created using water coloring.

I cut an oval with my Explore from watercolor paper and then stamped the image on a piece of post-it-tape and then cut around the chair and umbrella.
I placed my mask chair/umbrella on the oval then watercolored the background.
Then using my MISTI I lined up my stamp to the masked area and then stamped
the image.  I then decided to stamp and color the chair image
again and cut it out so it would add more dimension.
I colored the chair and umbrella with
Distress Inks and a water brush, then pop dotted it on top.
Then cut the stitched oval using one of my Die-Namics dies.  The top shell banner is cut from Life's a Beach cartridge and the I
added some K&Company die cuts.
The stamps are from Sweet & Sassy stamps. I had been wanting to
use these stamps for a long time and finally had an opportunity to
use them.

Thanks for stopping to take a peak.

Sending a Kiss

Hi, I am so delighted to be on the Scrappers Delight design team for
the Friday Freebies.

Here is the card I created using this weeks Friday Freebie
This one was fun to color but I had to look through my stamps to figure out what sentiment I would put on this card, then I found these stamps
in the Petite Pairs Stampin Up set.  They were perfect!

I color it using my Copics, then highlighted some areas
with Sakura Gelly Roll pen.  The lips I imported into Cricut Design Space
and looked up the hex or RGB code for the color I used to color the tube
of lipstick and printed and cut it using that color code.
The background paper I created using a wax paper embossed background technique I just learned from a GinaK video.  Super easy and super cool.

Well thanks for stopping by and make sure you check out all the cool images over at Scrapper's Delight

A couple of cards

Here are a couple cards I made from being inspired by things
I had seen on Pinterest.   Love surfing Pinterest and
getting ideas and learning new techniques.

It is kind of a CAS (clean and simple) card.
I used my southwestern pots die from Die-Versions.
I cut them out out of three different colors and used some negative pieces to fill in to add more color.
I used a scribble (for lack of better word) stamp to stamp in some of the same colors with Distress Inks.  Then embossed the background with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Here is the next card.
This is another very simple one.  I stamped with some doily stamps then heat embossed with white embossing powder.  Added a label and sentiment and that is it.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peak in at my blog.

A Sunflower Birthday

Hi, it's been a few days so I thought I would post another card I made.

This has a Fall look to it, I know I know we haven't even gotten
to Summer yet lol.
This is a Stampin Up stamp from quite a few years ago.
I colored it using my Prisma and Inktense pencils.  I just recently
got my Inktense pencils and wanted to try them out.  I really like
them, the colors are very vibrant.
The metal sunflower I had bought a long time ago and finally
got to use it.

Well thanks for stopping by, back in a few days with another post.
Have a great night.

Hubby's Birthday Card

Hi, I wanted to share with the card I made for
my hubbys birthday which is early this month.

I actually had to go picking through the garbage to
get one I needed to make this card.
He loves his Lite beer so I got one of the cans out of the garbage and cut the label out using my Big Shot and an oval die.

The mug and foam are a Repeat Impressions stamp that I stamped and colored with my Copics.  I added some puffy embossing powder to the foam so it
is dimensional.  I glues the piece of can onto the front of the
mug.  I embossed the background using a Darcie border embossing folder and
just embossed it several times across the front.
That's it pretty simple but perfect for him.

Cute as a Button Elephant

Hello all!
I have a card to share with you today that I made using an image
from Cute as a Button, this cute little elephant is called
Raggedy Elphie Buttons.

I though he would look cute under the banner which is also from
Cute as a Button.   I colored everything using my Copic markers twice.
One I hand cut out so I could place it on top of the "hill" I cut using my
I then layered using papers from Simple Stories paper pack that has chevron, stripes and polka dots in it.  Perfect combination for me.
I will be adding happy 1st birthday to it later as I will use it for my Great-granddaughter first birthday which will be a circus theme.

Well thanks for stopping by.
