Kokopelli - Have a Great Day

Hi, back to share another card with you.
Hope you all had a great weekend.
For this card I followed the sketch this week over at
The House that Stamps Built.

Here is the sketch.

I live in the desert in Arizona so I love all the southwestern things, when
I saw this stamp from Repeat Impressions I just had to get it.

I colored it with my Poloychromo pencils and mounted it on a distressed piece of paper.  I embossed the side panel with a southwestern embossing folder
then a simple square embossing paper on the back.
To the corners I used my Nuvo drops to had some copper dots.

So that is it, I hope you like my card and thanks so much for stopping by.

You're the Best - Angie girl

Hi, finally got to get back in my room and create
something.
This card I created using Unity Stamps and following the sketch

Here is the sketch, a rather simple one this week.

I changed up the center a bit to use an oval instead of
a square.
I have a BFF that is great and always there for me even if it
is just to get together and have a couple glasses of wine and chat.
So I wanted to make a card to send her to tell her how special she is to me.

I stamped the Unity Angie Girl stamp from the "Today I am Happy" set on kraft cardstock.  I colored her using my Polychromo pencils.  The color I
like the best on kraft is red but I wanted to give the purple a try.
This would also be a great image to paper piece her hat and shirt.
I cut an oval frame using a Gina Marie die out of purple paper
that has a sling chevron pattern to it.
The background is a piece of paper from a Watercolor stack from Michaels.
I embossed the background paper but then ran it through again after I embossed it but not inside the folder but underneath it.  This flattens the pattern a bit to
make it have a softer look to it.  The "you're the best" is also a Unity stamp from the Butterflies & Sunbeams set.

Thanks for taking the time to spot by and take a peek at my blog.

Noah's Ark by Rick St Dennis

Here is my card.
This is one of the images we got to work with.
I have to say is not one of my finest.  I am not too happy with how it turned
out, maybe I will try to color is again using Copics, this one was done
with my Polychromo pencils.

Coloring on Red

You know all the rage right now is coloring on kraft cardstock me
included love it.  I love the look, I love the way the color lays down,
I just love everything about it.
So I recently ran across where someone colored on colored paper,
I believe what I saw was blue.

Well I recently got my Perfect Poinsettia set of stamps from
Gina K so I thought it would be perfect to give it a try
to color on red.  So for my project this month over
at the Crafty Awesomeness Challenge I made this card.

I stamped the poinsettias and heat embossed them in gold.  This set
of stamps is actually a multi-step set of stamps, much like the truck one I did HERE.  For this card, I only used the lined/detailed stamp.

I colored in the poinsettias using my Polychromo pencils.
I love pink poinsettias so that was actually my driving factor
to color on red paper.
I die cut the Merry Christmas using a GinaMarie die.  I thought it needed something so I covered it in Versamark ink and then heat embossed
it using clear embossing powder.  It made it stand out a bit more.
I then mounted the red panel on gold foil paper to pick up the gold
embossing.  I am slowly making a dent in my Christmas
cards but still have a way to go.

Sorry this post is late, it was just one of those times where
I couldn't get it together in time.  I had the card all finished
but had to sit down and type up this blog post.
Thanks for stopping by and remember to head over to
and anything goes challenge so come on over and let's see what you got.

Sunflowers in a Jar

Hi, this card was made following the sketch this week at
Tuesday Morning Sketches, I love to play along here when I can.

Here is the sketch.

I flipped it sideways so I could fit my sunflower image that came
in this months Unity Kit of the Month.

I stamped the image onto kraft card stock and colored it using my
Polychromo pencils.  The sentiment is an Altenew stamp.
I loved the place paper and thought it would pull all my colors together,
it is from a DCWV stack a few years back called Autumn Amber.

Thanks for stopping to take a peek at my blog.

Enjoy the Simple Things - Unity

Hi, I love working on kraft paper but many times forget about
using it.  The effects you can get coloring on it is fabulous so
today I have a card to share with you that I stamped using a
Unity stamps from last month's Kit of the Month and colored
it with PolyChromo pencils.

I love how large this flower stamp is, actually most of Unity Stamps
are large, which makes them easier to color.  I used white and a pale
yellow color on the flower, and then a couple different greens on the
leaves.  The sentiment is also
a Unity stamp from the same KOTM.
I distressed the edges of the kraft paper with my
Tim Holtz Distressing Tool.  I added a strip of loopy jute like
string I recently picked at Michaels.
All and all I am pretty pleased with how this one turned out.
Thanks for stopping by to take a peak, I love to read
your comments.

Oh Happy Day - BBQ

Hi, I have a cute summer themed card to share with you
today.  This month at the Crafty Awesomeness Challenge out sponsor
is Bugaboo Stamps.  Jodie has a whole new website set up for you
to make your shopping experience easier.
For this month I chose to use some of Bugaboos cute older
stamps.
This is actually 2 separate images that I merged together and printed on
kraft cardstock.  I colored them using my Polychromos and I think a
couple Prisma Pencils to get the correct colors.  Are they just the cutest?
The clouds and sun are Gina Marie dies that you can get here at the
Scrapbook Outlet.  She also revamped her website, must be something
in the air, ha ha ha.
And that is it, a pretty simple card, I'll be back to share another card
using a BBQ image, this one I call Hamburger Boy.

Get Well Teapot - Bugaboo

Hello, hope everyone had a great Valentine's day and didn't
eat too much chocolate.

Today I have a card to share with you for our new
This is just the second month of this brand new challenge so we would love fo you to join in the fun.
You can create anything you want as long as you use a
Bugaboo image and there are some adorable ones.
The image I got to work with is called Flower Teapot and it can
be found HERE.

I printed out the image onto kraft cardstock and the colored it with a
mix od PrismaPencils and Polychromos.  I absolutely love coloring
on kraft cardstock with pencils.  The colors seem tp pop off the paper.
I thought this image was good for a get well card so I cut
out the sentiment using my Cricut Explore.  I picked up some
of the colors I used and then matted the kraft paper on those colors.
The edges I stamped with a stamp that came in a ProvoCraft stamp
set I got a few years back.  The stamp is only about 2 1/2 inches long so thankfully I had my MISTI and got to stamp around the edges perfectly lined up.

So that's it!  Go ahead grab yourself a Bugaboo image and play
along, you will have till March 14th to enter.  Remember
Jodie at Bugaboo has a Friday freebie, plus her images are very reasonable.

Poppy Girl.
I made her following the challenge over at the
Unity Facebook page Show & Tell.  The challenge
was to use a Unity stamp and the colors,
Red, White and Kraft.  I love coloring on kraft
the colors come out so vibrant plus you can color white.
I used my Polychromos to color this image.  I am
really in love with how this one turned out.

All Dressed Up Fairy

A couple of weeks ago this imaged was
shared on the Kit & Clowder Facebook page.
This adorable image is from All Dressed Up.

I just received my set of Faber Castell Polychromo pencils so I
had to try them out and color her up.  I LOVE my pencils and am very glad I got them as I teetered on it for quite some time.
I embossed the pink paper using a Cuttlebug folder and cut the
centers out with my Spellbinders cutting the pink piece a bit larger so I would
have a frame around her.  I added some flowers I had in my stash and
that was enough to finish it off.  I will add a sentiment
when I decide how I will use it.

Thanks for stopping to take a peak.

This card will be entered into the following challenges
Crafting Circle - Crafty awesomeness
All Dressed Up - Anything goes using an ADU image
Get Creative Challenges - Pink plus one color
