Sunflowers in a Jar

Hi, this card was made following the sketch this week at
Tuesday Morning Sketches, I love to play along here when I can.

Here is the sketch.

I flipped it sideways so I could fit my sunflower image that came
in this months Unity Kit of the Month.

I stamped the image onto kraft card stock and colored it using my
Polychromo pencils.  The sentiment is an Altenew stamp.
I loved the place paper and thought it would pull all my colors together,
it is from a DCWV stack a few years back called Autumn Amber.

Thanks for stopping to take a peek at my blog.

Believe Sunflower

Hi today I have a card to share with you that I made following
the sketch this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches.
It has been a while since I got to play along at TMS but hope
I can do it more often now.

Oh, how I love this stamp!  This stamp was one of the ones
I just love the way the stem spells the word believe.
I colored the stamp using my Prisma Pencils.
The papers are from as DCWV Fall stack that came out a few years ago.
I added a couple Gina Marie dies cuts out of green to coincide with
the sketch.

A Sunflower Birthday

Hi, it's been a few days so I thought I would post another card I made.

This has a Fall look to it, I know I know we haven't even gotten
to Summer yet lol.
This is a Stampin Up stamp from quite a few years ago.
I colored it using my Prisma and Inktense pencils.  I just recently
got my Inktense pencils and wanted to try them out.  I really like
them, the colors are very vibrant.
The metal sunflower I had bought a long time ago and finally
got to use it.

Well thanks for stopping by, back in a few days with another post.
Have a great night.

Patriotic Sunflower

This paper was such a funny color for a Sunflower so I thought I would run with it, all and all I am pretty pleased at the end result, even though this was so so out of my comfort zone.  I am usually tend to use exact real life colors and hate that about myself.  The paper is from a DCWV Summer Dream stack from last summer I believe.   I made it following one of the sketch this week at RAQs challenge on the Cricut message board and the sketch this week at Mojo Monday, how lucky is that, that it fit both sketches with just very very minor adjustments.

What do you think?  Cute huh?  Also since it was nearly the 4th of July I thought it was the perfect time to use these colors and the challenge this week at My Sheri Crafts the theme is Independence Day or Red, White and Blue and I thought this would be a great birthday card for someone with a 4th of July birthday.  The happy birthday is a stamped sentiment that I heat embossed.
The flower was cut from Walk in my Garden (boy I haven't used this cartridge in a long time) and is almost 4 inches high.  The flower part is cut 4 times and layered.   I added white pearl to where there was small holes cut out of the red.  The white is white linen pearl paper, so I thought the pearls matched well.
So what do you think of my funky Patriotic Sunflower?  So glad you stopped by and have a wonderful weekend.
