Using Glubbers

Hi!  Back again to share another card I made.
This was my first time using Glubbers by Cosmo Cricket.
They are actually very large glue dots that you can wind thing up to make embellishments.  I love the idea of them, but I think I picked the wrong ribbon to use as I had some trouble getting it to stick, or I just touched them too much putting it on.
The papers are all from k*i Memories paper stack.
The stamp is a CMTH stamp.

Thanks for taking a peak at my blog today.

Teal & Purple Combination

Hi I made it back with two posts in one week!  Yeah!

I love this color combination, I think the teal and purple look so pretty together.
I hand cut all the square so that they would all line up correctly.  The papers are from a DCWV paper stack.  I cut out ovals and stamped it using a Gina K stamp, then added some crumbled ribbon that I laid flat.
This is a 4 by 9 card and fir into a #10 business envelope.

I am glad you stopped by, I would love to read your comments.

I have quite a few cards that I have made lately that I had not posted to I will try and get them on here.  The first one I have to share is this bright and cheery card.
The papers are from a K&Company stack.
I added some matching buttons and tied some bakers twine in the middle.
The cuts are made using the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to get some more cards posted later this week.

Wedding Card

Hello everyone, hope you have great plans for this Mother's Day weekend.
I have a wedding card to share with you that I made for my niece that is getting married and I am unable to attend so I wanted to make something special.
I can not take credit for this card as when I saw the card on the Team KNK blog I knew that was the special card I had to make, so it is totally scraplifted.
The cut files are all designed and set up my a lady that goes by Bird.  She
is so very talented and extremely generous as she shares are her files for FREE, so make sure you go check out her blog.
My card is pretty much a replica of hers except that I added a touch of pewter color as that is the wedding color.  Everything was cut using Bird's files, Make the Cut software and my Cameo.
Just like Bird I used a variety of paper textures, mostly pearl white textured papers.  I embossed parts of the cake to give it a little decorative look.
Here is a close up of the flowers & leaves that are all made from vellum.
I carried the same theme to the inside.  I printed the verse on vellum using my Canon printer.  The ink does not dry immediately on vellum so the second it came out of the printer I sprinkled it with pewter/silver embossing powder and heat embossed it.  I did the same thing on the small saying on the front of the card.
I added a couple stickers to dress up the inside.
Since this card was a bit bulky and it had to be mailed it would not go into a regular envelope so I made an envelope box for it's travel from Arizona to Chicago.
Here it is all tucked away in it's envelopbox.  I place this into a padded envelope and added some foam and other packing to make sure it arrived safely.
I got word that it did arrive at it's destination safely. :).
In case you are no familiar with Make the Cut software you should check it out HERE,  It is by far the best die cutting software out there.
Well thank you for stopping by, I would love to hear what you think about
my wedding card.
Hope everyone has a very Happy Mother's Day.

Party Till the Cows..................

........................Come Home!
Hi everyone, I have a card to share with you today that I made for my Granddaughter (in-law)that just turned 21 and was looking forward to it.
I am thrilled with how it turned out.
I cut the cow using my Cameo and an image I bought in the Silhouette store.  I did a print and cut then covered "her" with Crystal Lacquer.  The barn cloud were also purchased in the Silhouette store, I love just being able to go there and get what I need and immediately use it.
I Cuttlebugged the barn with the distressed stripes folder then inked it a bit.  The background paper was computer generated.
I typed the saying using the Design Studio and then used my sketch pens to write it and then went back and cut the cloud around it.
Here is a close up of the little cow.

Now on to the inside.
I did the saying the same way I did the one on the front of the card.
I just think this card came out so cute and our granddaughter loved it and got a chuckle out of it.
Well thanks for taking the time to stop by and visit my blog.  I would love to hear what you think of my card.

A Variety of Cards

Hello everyone, just having trouble posting daily on my blog so in an effort to catch up and show you what I have been working on I will post several cards on this post.

The first couple cards I made using the CTMH papers from the
Chantilly Paper pack, love the colors and patterns in this pack.
The bow I cut using the Artiste cartridge and my Cricut Expression.
The center paisley is a matching chipboard piece that comes in the Chantilly Dimensional Elements.

The next card also uses the Chantilly paper pack and dimensional chipboard pieces.
This card fits into a #10 size business envelope.  I always forget about making this size card.

One last card for now.
This was made using CTMH papers that were in the Dotty for You paper pack from last year.
I love the Dotty for You paper pack, but unfortunately it is no longer available.  Maybe it is because I love polka dots.
Well thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog, hopefully I will get another post up real soon.

Birthday Card for my Hubby

Hi everyone, I know it has been awhile (again), it is not that I have not been crafting it is just that I have used any extra time I had crafting and not making myself stop and type up blog posts.    Had so much going on and company etc etc, but I think things should slack up a bit now.  Fingers crossed. :)
I am also taking an on-line Copic Coloring class, so hopefully you will see more Copic colored things from me in the future.

Earlier this week was my hubby's birthday so here is the card I created for him.
Can you tell we like wine:)!
I have finally made myself get out of my comfort zone (using cartridges) and start using the Cameo software and Make The Cut software and I am lovin it.  I still have so so much learn but the possibilities are endless, you have so much more freedom to manipulate the images to fit into what you are doing.  I love love working with my Cameo, sorry had to say that.
The wine bottle was a cut file I bought in the Silhouette Store for 99 cents.  I customized the label, but cutting out the words from vinyl since they were small and vinyl cut small things better or I should say small or delicate things cut out better from vinyl.
I covered the bottle with 3D Crystal Lacquer and then placed the "label" over the lacquer so it didn't look like the label was inside the bottle.   When the lacquer was 80% or so dried, I started to bend it and curve it a bit so it would look rounded.
The corner scroll is a Spellbinder that I got recently.
The words I welded in the Silhouette software and then created a shadow for them.  The software makes it so easy to weld letters and create a shadow if you want to.
Here is the inside that I printed out using Word then cut out with a Spellbinder.
I am so pleased with how this card came out and I was excited when I found that background paper in my stash.

Well thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog, I would love to read you comments on my card.
Have a fabulous day!

A Couple fun Birthday Cards

Hi, I am trying to catch up on my blog posting.  I have been busy creating cards
but have just not found much time to post them.
This is a card I made following a sketch, it is pretty simple but I love the colors.
The background paper is from a DCWV paper stack that I got a long long long time ago and was probably one of the first stacks I bought.
The center circle sentiment I made using Microsoft Word.  I do not do it very often so I really have to play around with it to get it right.  Then using my Cameo and Make the Cut software I was able to cut around that sentiment.  The center is a canvas button sticker from CTMH, I was trying to keep this so it could be used for a male so I hope that flower doesn't throw it off.

Here is the second card to share with you.
The papers are CTMH Lucy paper pack.   I hosted a challenge and my extra credit was to use a negative cut.  Well where the flowers are is a window, the rub-on stickers are on a paper behind the main strip.
The bow I cut using the Artiste cartridge, I love to cut the paper bows, that way they match your project exactly.
Here is a closer look at that rub-on and the bow.  I also added some rub-ons to the paper the bow was made from.

Glad you stopped by I hope you enjoyed my 2 cards today.

Welcome Baby.............

Hello and thanks for stopping by my blog today.  I have a card to share with you today that I made following the sketch this week at Mojo Monday.
Boy has it been a long time since I played along there.
Well the timing was right as I had to make a baby shower card for one of our granddaughter's shower next week.
As you can tell she is having a girl and her name will be Lily.  Boy how that has changed since I had my kids years ago 40+ you never knew what you were having till it popped out. :)
I used my MTC software to set up the scalloped circles so they would layer and shadow each other.  Then I added the text using my sketch pens and my Cameo to write out the text, then go back and have MTC cut out the circle.  I love MTC but I just have to make myself use it more to learn all the cool things it does, plus Andy is constantly updating it and adding new features.
The papers are some Heidi Grace papers I have had around here for a couple of years.
The flower is a crumpled flower I made a long time ago but it just matched this perfectly so I added it.
I am please with how this turned out as I struggled with every detail, I love the pink and green combination.
Well thanks for stopping by and hop on over to Mojo Monday and join in the fun.

Collage of Flowers

Hi, glad you stopped by.
A few weeks ago I made this card following a challenge and one of the extra credits was to make a collage card.  So the images on this card came up when I
Googled collage images.  Not sure it was what I had in mind as a collage but I loved them nonetheless so I used them.
I do love the look of this card.  Background paper is from the K& Company Best of Brenda Walton stack.
I matted each layer using a rust like color.
The "happy birthday" I wrote using my sketch pens in my Cameo.
Well I hope you enjoyed looking at my card and will leave me a comment.  Thanks!
