A couple Valentine cards

Hello, I wanted to share a couple Valentine cards with you.  I know it has passed
but did not get a chance to post them before.

The first one is a Cricut cut/write file.  I love the way it did all the doodling
and cut out each layer to line up.  It also cut a matching envelope.

It's it wonderful.

The second one I have to share is a heart shaped card
I created in Design Space and cut with my Explore.

I imported the Bugaboo elephant image into DS and then
had the Explore print it and cut the heart shape around it.  I then colored it using my Copics.   I also had the Explore write then sentiment on the heart before cutting it out.
I pierced holes all around the edge of the heart and then connected the holes
using the same pen I wrote the sentiment with.  This something I recently saw on Sandy Allnock's blog, it gives it a stitched look.   You can see it here in this VIDEO
And here is the inside also written with the Explore.

I am also entering this in the February Valentine challenge over at
Pink and Main Challenge blog
Thanks for stopping to take a peak.    Hope to sneak in a couple more blog posts over the next week.

Pretty Butterfly

Hi, I have a pretty  card to share with you today.
I saw this on Pinterest and just had to try it.
I just happen to have the Stampin Up butterfly she used
but it can be done with any dies.

I just love how striking this looks.
The butterfly is still attached to the base in the center.
You have to put your die on the paper then just line up the cutting plates on your Big Shot or Cuttlebug to just before the center or body of the butterfly.  Then holding the die in place on your paper line up the cutting plates over the other side or other wing still leaving the body outside of the plates and run it through again.  You should end up with a butterfly with it wings cut out and the body still attached to the paper.
I went ahead and cut out another butterfly out of holographic paper just so I could have that pretty paper on top.  I used my corner punch then tucked my paper underneath.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you like my card.

Some-birdy.....

......wishes you

I wanted to share this card with you that I made using a digital
image I colored using my Copics.  I have always liked coloring but kind of got away from it, but I found Kit & Clowder and it has me all excited about coloring again.  Thanks Crafting Circle for introducing me to Alyce at Kit & Clowder.
More on Kit & Clowder a little later.

I created card following a sketch this week at the CraftingCircle message board.
I embossed the light blue circle using a Darcie cloud embossing folder then took my white ink pad and just wiped it over the raised area to give the clouds a bit of color.  I colored the Cuddly Buddly image using my Copic markers.   They have some pretty cute images, in fact this one is a freebie.

While we are talking about CuddlyBuddly here is another one I colored up and put on a card, another freebie here too!

I am lovin getting back to coloring and using my rather large investment into Copic markers.
I have signed up for the Hair & Skin class at Kit and Clowder and am learning alot although I have not completed it yet.  Alyce is fabulous and a great instructor.  She also has a free class called
Mindful Me that I highly recommend you taking.
She has a great variety of classes even some using pencils.
I hope you enjoyed my cards and thanks for stopping by.

Some more catching up

Hi, hope everyone is having a great weekend.
I am going to post a few various cards that I have
been working on lately.

Here is a thank you card that opens into a step-card
instead of the plain old center.
The center is a Stampin Up stamp.
and here is the inside.

I love the way the starburst card looks but sometimes they are a bit difficult to get right.  The papers are K&Company papers.

Here is a cute animal shaped card from the Create a Critter cartridge.  I covered part of his body with Fun Flock for more dimension.

And one last one, a diamond fold card.
The turtle image is from NitWits, that I uploaded and cut with my Explore.

Thanks for stopping and taking a peak.  Hope you enjoy the cards I
shared with you today.  Most of them were made playing along with challenges over at the CraftingCircle message board.
Come over and join in the fun, there is a nice variety of challenges.

Pretty butterfly card

Hi, today I have a card to share with you that I made following
the sketch this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  Although
I have not done them for quite some time I do love following
a sketch to create a card.

I love the soft colors and how this turned out.
I made the background paper after watching a video
on You Tube from Deanna Paper Crafts.
The butterfly is a Stampin Up stamp that I stamped on watercolor paper and then colored using my Distress Ink pads.
I cut the lacy circle using my Explore and the Sophie cartridge.
This is also one of the sketches for the current challenge going on
at the CraftingCircle message board.  Got till the end
of the month so come on over and play along

Well Hello........

......long time not posting.
I know it has been quite a while since I last posted and I always want to get back to paying more attention to my blog but it just has not happened.  However now I am going to try real hard to post at least weekly.  Thanks to all those that have followed me and still peak in when I do post.

So to catch up I am just going to post some random cards I have made lately to show you what I have been up to.

First off for a challenge on the CraftingCircle message board a month or so ago we were challenged to use the Bohek method to make some background paper.  I had been wanting to try this so I was glad it same up.
So here is my card that I used my Bohek paper on.
It was so much fun making the paper and I love the way
it turned out.

Here is a great male card.  I think it is called "triple stamping".
I colored the image with watercolors to give it a more mute look.

A few more that I have made recently.

Well that should get me a start back into blogging, I hope.  See you all real soon
Have a fabulous day.

Good Things

Hello everyone, I finally got to participate in a Mojo Monday
challenge again.  It has been way too long.

I made this card using some single sheet papers from Michael"s and a Stampin Up stamp.  I thought he was so cute perched on there
on his piece of watermelon.
I colored him using Copic markers and did some sewing both
with my little machine and some faux sitting with
me gel pen.   I used a Verve stamp
for the sentiment.

So there it is.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Well it has been too long......

...........but I really hope to be back and posting regularly again.
Some things have changed since I last posted mostly the
shut down of the Cricut message board.
You all know I have been an active member on the MB and a
participant of the
Wednesday Bi-Weekly card sketch challenge
on the message board for many many years so it was quite a shock to think we may not be able to continue our little challenge.  It is so much more than a challenge to many of us, it is inspiration, learning and a great creative social atmosphere, so we were saddened
that we may lose that creativity and chatting with our friends.
Well a fairly new member of the challenge stepped up to the plate
for us and created us a brand new message board with all the features
and creative areas you can think of.  Plus it is constantly growing and being enhanced.
So thanks to MsWipz we now have a new home.....
Please come and take a stroll around, it is so much more than just Cricuts and die cutting machine, no more worries about not using your Cricut or saying Silhouette Cameo.
Plus there will soon be a blog associated with the MB.

So to kick off this new message board (and yeah I know I am late in reporting this) we have a July Super Challenge going on.  It will last through August 111th so you still have plenty time to play along.

We are challenged to try many new things and get our brains going on
creating a card to some specific things.
I will share a few of them with you right now.
One of our challenges was to make a Super Hero card.

Here is mine.  I used some PNGs from Sassy Designs
using Superhero Sound effects. She is having a 13 year celebration sale till July 31st where most of your things are just 25 cents.  Be sure and go check out her sight.
So here is my card......
I love my Cricut Explore as I got to write the sentiment on the label and then cut it out.  The little guy and label are from NitWits Super Stuey collection.

Another of our challenges or ECs was to make a
These were pretty simple to put together.  There are so many ideas and videos on Pinterest for this technique but here is the one I followed.
I made two samples using some Stampin Up stamps.
and a second version since they are so quick and
easy to make.
This is just a small example of what we are learning and what we are challenged to do for the

So come on over and check us out and hopefully be inspired to try a challenge or two.

Snowman Card

Hello everyone, I am sure you are all busy getting those Christmas projects and shopping done.

I have a card to share that I made following the sketch at
I love the looked of just 2 corners rounded.
I stamped and heat embossed the snowman with an Inkadinkado stamp from a few years ago.
The paper is from Paper Wishes. The snowflakes I cut using my Explore.

Thanks for stopping by.

A Variety of Birthday Cards

Hello all, I know it has been a long time again since I posted.
I am sure everyone is busy getting ready for Thanksgiving and time with family & friends.  Lots of prep for that big meal.

So I thought I would quickly share some birthday cards I have made recently.

This one was made using the CTMH paper pack Clementine.

This one is a great guy card which are sometimes hard to make.

I really love my Explore so these next two cards are made using it.
This one I drew or wrote the feathers using the write feature and pens in my Explore.  The happy birthday I  cut from vinyl and attached it to the label. I love how this one came out.
And the last one I used the print then cut feature.  Since I have an Imagine I was given access to all the Imagine images.  I am very impressed with the print then cut feature. It cuts so precisely.

Thank you for stopping by and I wish everyone a
very very Happy Thanksgiving.
